Publix: New Twist on the Ragu BOGO + B2G1 + Dreamfield's Pasta

Lots of folks are posting about the Ragu and Mueller's Pasta deals going on at Publix this week (good through 11/24/11).

Here's a new twist.  I'm going to shop for this deal today and buy Dreamfield's. We recently tried this pasta and love it.  It has more protein and fiber than typical store pasta and it looks and tastes just like "regular" pasta.

Here's the new Dreamfield's twist:

Buy 8 Ragu on BOGO @ $2.29/2

Buy 4 Dreamfield's Pasta  @$1.66 ea.

-Use the Ragu B2G1 Coupon for Buy 2 Ragu, Get 1 Pasta up to $1.75 Off (4 coupons)

Cost = $9.16 for 8 Ragu

Cost = $6.64 for 4 Dreamfield's

Subtotal = $15.80

Minus:  $7 for the Ragu Coupon (rings up at $1.75 each)

Unfortunately we can't use the Dreamfield's coupons because the pastas are already attached to the Ragu B2G1 coupon.  But it is still a great deal for the upgraded Dreamfield's pasta.

TOTAL PAID FOR ALL 12:  ONLY $8.80

One of my favorite coupons has a really good supermarket match-up ending 11/9/11 at Publix Florida stores.  Kashi frozen entrees will be $2.50 each.  Match that with the $2.00 off 1 Kashi item coupon from Recyclebank and you've got yourself one great deal.  Kashi's entrees are preservative-free with higher nutritional value than most of the other popular brands.  Sprinkle a bit of grated Romano cheese over the Pesto Primavera, and... Bellisimo.

And here's what makes this deal even better, the $2.00 off 1 Kashi product coupons at RecycleBank are currently only 75 points.  I usually get them for 125 points.  If your new to RecycleBank - it's all free, all the time, you read some very brief statements or answer short questions that are meant to raise your awareness about recycling and being good to the environment.  10 minutes should be more than enough time for you to get enough points for 2 of these coupons.

FREE: Fiber One Cereal at Publix

I like to wait until the new and crisp inserts are in my hands to really pay attention to what coupons are now mine.  The preview lists for Sunday inserts are great, but often not the same as what I get when the inserts arrive.  For example, there were a couple of Ragu coupons from September that simply were not in any of the local papers' inserts here.  So I don't spend too much time planning a shopping list around the preview list.  However, I do get a general idea for a shopping game plan.  For example, if the preview says there will be some Publix store coupons, I will start to look for any printables that may match up - then I print them before they are gone.  If the Publix coupons are not actually there, no big deal.

The Publix coupon is very timely as a replacement for the $2/1 Fiber One coupon that just expired on 9/20/11 along with the rest of the Yellow Advantage Flyer.

*If you have only one of the Publix coupons, it is worthwhile to buy another newspaper for this coupon alone.  The Sun-Sentinel is $1.25 from the sidewalk box here (I've seen $1.50 too).  You can even pick up a paper at the supermarket to make it easier.  Just make sure the coupon insert you want is in it before you pay for it.  Bonus:  you get a whole other set of coupons for BOGO deals.
